Who is qualified to run a PIRTEK industrial franchise?

Our franchisees don’t need to be mechanical experts. Rather, they work on growing their business, marketing, record keeping, scheduling new clients, and hiring mechanically inclined employees to handle repairs and sales.

We’re looking for franchisees who are dedicated to growing a new business and who aren’t afraid to put in a lot of hands-on work – especially during the early days of their PIRTEK franchise. Our franchisees come from all sorts of backgrounds: corporate executives, mechanics/operators, and those with managerial experience and are all looking to take the next step in their career. The Process

  1. DO SOME RESEARCH

    Take some time to do your own research on our brand and the hydraulic hose industry. This website www.pirtek.co.za is a great place to start! Here we’ve outlined all of the basics of the investment, the training and support you’ll receive, and our industry. If you’re interested in learning more about what we have to offer, contact us!

  2. FILL OUT A FRANCHISE APPLICATION FORM

    Fill out our Franchise Application form. You can access this either via this website or we can send it to you. Fill it out as much as possible so we can see if we will be a good fit.

  3. INITIAL CONVERSATIONS

    After the initial assessment we will spend some time chatting and getting to know more about you and your interest in starting your own hydraulic hose franchise. We’ll give you more information about our brand and will answer any questions you may have. Once we get to know each other, if it seems like we’d be a good fit, we’ll move on to the next steps.

  4. REVIEWING THE FDD AND YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

    You’ll receive a copy of our franchise disclosure document (FDD) to review. Take your time with this document: it’s a complex legal text and includes important details about what franchisees are entitled to, and what’s expected of them in return. Meanwhile, we’ll take some time to review your background and ensure that you’re well qualified (personally and financially) to own a PIRTEK franchise. This step will take at least two weeks. Once we’ve both done our due diligence, we’ll mutually decide if we’d like to move forward.

  5. YOUR FRANCHISE AGREEMENT AND FEE

    If we’ve both decided that you would make a great PIRTEK franchisee, you’ll be presented with a franchise agreement. Signing it will indicate that you have read and agree to everything in the FDD, so make sure you’ve read it carefully! If necessary, you should consult your legal and financial advisors, which we recommend. At the time you sign your franchise agreement, you will also pay your one-time franchise fee. Once this is taken care of, we can get started on opening your franchise!

  6. SETTING UP YOUR BUSINESS

    We’ll provide you with guidelines and assistance through the process of starting your own hydraulic hose business. We’ll give you assistance based on years of experience on setting up your business. Best of all, you’ll be granted a license to operate exclusively in your territory: you can rest assured that no other PIRTEK franchises will open in your exclusive territory, allowing you to better manage the competition.

  7. YOUR INITIAL TRAINING

    At least four weeks before your grand opening, you and a select few members of your team will join us at our headquarters for initial training. Both technical and administrative training will be undertaken. Here, you’ll learn all the ins and outs of how to make hydraulic hoses and, also how to utilise our systems, support resources, find customers, keep records, and more. A key component of the PIRTEK franchise support package is the technology we utilise every day.  You will be trained on our sales and ordering systems and be given access to our SharedPoint system where you can access various forms, policies and procedures to help you with your day to day running of your business.

    We’ll answer all of your questions so that you’ll return to your location feeling empowered and ready to do business.

  8. GRAND OPENING AND BEYOND

    Once your store opens for business, our support doesn’t stop. We’ll provide you with business coaching, technology support, technical support updated practices based on research and development, policy and procedures and much more.
